She had no idea what she was getting into when we met on August 23rd, 1989. And then on July 6th, 1991 she got herself into more trouble when she looked me in the eye and said “I do.”
Al’Lora has been in my life for over 20 years now. She has made such an impact on me that even blogging and telling the story won’t be sufficient. But I will give it a try.
1. She is a solid, committed and determined woman.
And man did I need that in my life. She never has wavered in her faith in Christ. Her relationship with Him is solid and secure. She was and is a great example for me to follow. And she is a great example for our children.
She is also very committed. Once she puts her mind to something, forget about it. It gets her full attention and excellence is her standard.
And determined? Don’t tell her she can’t do something. She has tons of determination and she will always give it her best.
2. She is a faithful wife.
Faithful in so many ways. She provides me with loads of love and support. She even acts like she enjoys spending time with me. She often signs her cards to me “Forever Yours!” That thrills me every time!
3. She is an excellent mother.
Proverbs 31 says “her children rise and call her blessed.” Our kids adore their mother. She is so very good to them. She has always taken time to participate in their activities at school, church and in the community. And believe me they won’t forget it.
4. She pushes me constantly.
She has never once let me settle for average. She is probably reading this blog and checking it for grammatical errors because she wants me to look good. (Gotcha babe!) She encourages me and often tells me the painful truth. She keeps me humble. Everybody needs somebody in their lives to keep them moving forward.
5. She saved my life.
Jesus saved my soul and Al’Lora saved my life. When we met I desperately needed some guidance in my life. She was there to help me find my destiny. And now together we are living it. There is no telling where I might be had she not came into my life. I don’t even like thinking about it.
Al’Lora – I knew the day I met you, we were meant to be together. You have made my life complete and God couldn’t have given me a better companion. We are truly soul mates and daily I thank God for you.
Proverbs 31:29 – “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” That’s you my baby! That’s you!
