I was awakened this morning by the rumbling of thunder. It seems I left the snowstorms in Ohio for the thunderstorms in Alabama. Lots of rain for the area and I am considering building an ark!
In spite of the rain it was fun roaming the greater Gadsden area yesterday. We looked at our home (we hope to close on Friday of next week) which I finally seen for the first time. I must say Al’Lora did really good at picking us out a home. I think we will love it. I like the location and the look.
We also stopped in to look at the schools our kids will be attending. Carissa’s school looks like Disney World! The decor was unbelievable and very impressive. The staff welcomed us and they were very helpful. Christopher’s school was equally impressive. It is only three years old and very nice. It seems to be a quality school where he can excel both academically and athletically.
We ended our day by stopping by our new church. It was a good feeling. It was a reminder to me of something I shared in the pulpit just a few weeks ago – Either God is in control or He is not (and He is). And either I trust Him or I don’t (and I do).
God is in control of my life and the life of the Cathedral of Praise!
As we settled down for the evening, it was nice to have dinner with Al’Lora’s brother and his family. They will be living about twenty minutes from them.
I have never lived in Alabama but I think I already understand the phrase “Sweet Home Alabama!”
